- You are a legal resident; and
- You need to leave an abusive home or need help paying rent and/or utilities to keep you from becoming homeless; and
- You have an income below the 50% of the median income of the area

Get Up and Give! North Texas Giving Day 2010 is a day for you to go to your computer and give to the nonprofit organizations that you support! Between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, nonprofits with an approved DonorBridge profile will receive matching funds when donations are made online through DonorBridge. This helps your gifts go farther!
Simply go to www.donorbridgetx.org, any time between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. to donate to your favorite nonprofit or search for nonprofits working in areas you are interested in.

"Love The Way You Lie" by Eminem ft. Rihanna depicts sick cycle of domestic violence

In Eminem's controversial new video "Love The Way You Lie," love and violence intertwine seamlessly. One moment, a couple sleeps in each other's arms, the next, they're violently fighting, tossing bed sheets. Later, they kiss passionately, pressed up against the same wall the man has just punched with his fist. All the while, Rihanna croons the chorus which includes the line, "that's all right because I like the way it hurts." But is it really all right?
Less than 24 hours after MTV debuted the video for Eminem's chart-topiing single about the evolution of his relationship with his ex-wife, Kim, many are wondering: Does "Love The Way You Lie" glamorize domestic violence?
