Helping Hands is a social and fundraising auxiliary of The Family Place, the largest family violence service provider in the Dallas area.  We are a group of civic-minded professionals that provide development and volunteer resources to The Family Place, helping support its mission to eliminate family violence through intervention and proactive prevention, extensive community education and advocacy, and assistance for victims and their families.

Helping Hands hosts social events and happy hours in some of Dallas' most popular venues.  We also provide hundreds of volunteer hours each year to The Family Place, hosting parties for children at the emergency shelter, organizing donations, and assisting at the annual Polo on the Lawn fundraiser.

With your support we can help The Family Place continue its unique and vital role as a refuge for hundres of abused women and children in our community.  Statistics show that more than 500 women and children are homeless each night in our city streets because of domestic violence.  In Dallas there are estimated to be 75,000 women and 150,000 witnessing children suffering from family violence and the numbers are growing making the need for our services great and immediate.
