Coordinate the scheduling for the weekend staff; coordinate weekend activities/events. Provide shelter residents and hotline callers with information and resources about domestic violence and to ensure The Family Place is a safe, friendly environment conducive to crisis management and recovery for victims of domestic violence and their children.
Coordinate weekend scheduling for the weekend staff.
Assist in finding a replacement for any weekend shift left without coverage.
Promptly notify the Program Director or the Program Administrative Assistant about each assigned shift which will not be attended.
Act as a back-up to the weekend staff.
Serve as the liaison between the Program Director and weekend staff.
Serve as the liaison between the operations/maintenance staff and the weekend staff.
Responsible for the weekend recreational activities/work events.
Answer the hotline calls using appropriate crisis intervention techniques to assess caller needs; make appropriate referrals where indicated.
Perform initial assessment of eligibility for client families requesting emergency shelter.
Provide information and referral services as indicated.
Respond to client needs while on duty.
Prepare and implement, with the supervision and input of shelter staff, recreational, educational and Life Skills activities/classes for adult shelter clients.
Assist with clerical projects and paperwork as needed.
Assist in training and monitoring of new shelter staff/volunteers.
Attend any and all training sessions as required by The Family Place.
Adhere to The Family Place policies and procedures.
