Dallas Teens Partner with The Family Place and Local Musicians to end Bullying and Relationship Violence
Be Project to Host 2nd Annual Music4Change Concert on June 28, 2013
WHAT: Music4Change is back! Be Project, an initiative of The Family Place, will host its 2nd Annual Music4Change (M4C) Concert at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum on Friday, June 28, 2013. This free concert for teens features performances by young local musicians whose music provides a positive and encouraging message.
Last year, Be Project’s leadership group - Be More - conjured up the idea for a fun and unique summer concert to promote the same ideals of the group: stepping out among their peers to take a stand to end relationship violence. They wanted to create an event to rally teens from around Dallas to come together and celebrate being advocates for healthy relationships. This year’s event uses graffiti as the theme to encourage youth to “Make Your Mark” on the issues of bullying and dating violence.
The concert will feature performances by Bentley Green, Marcella Fruehan and Dallas Wayde. For more information, please visit the Be Project website at www.familyplacebeproject.org or the Music4Change Facebook Event.
