Help for the Whole Family 

Through our Partner Advocate Program, we offer individual and group counseling to partners whose abusers are in the program. Abusive behavior hurts everyone around you, including the children who witness the behavior.

Children worry that their abused parent will get seriously hurt and that their abusive parent will go to jail. They worry the most when they’re at school, which keeps them from paying attention. This hurts not only their grades but also their performance in sports and extra-curricular activities. It hurts all of their relationships—with teachers, friends and family.

The Family Place offers children’s counseling that addresses the distorted perceptions caused by living with abuse. Counseling can break the cycle of violence that too often continues from one generation to the next.
