The Family Place Battering Intervention & Prevention Program teaches batterers how to recognize abuse and
change their behaviors. With help from our professional staff members and group counseling, you can learn to stop
hurting your partner.
Abuse is–
- Screaming and calling names
- Throwing objects
- Hitting, slapping or pushing
- Making threats
- Stalking
- Forcing your partner to have sex
Change is–
- Lowering your voice
- Counting to 10 to calm down
- Taking a time-out
- Using kind words
- Showing respect
